DGMM 2022: brainstorming session

DGMM 2022 is the second joint event between the two main conference series of IAPR TC18, the International Conference on Discrete Geometry for Computer Imagery (DGCI) and the International Symposium on Mathematical Morphology (ISMM), which is physically held at the first time. At this occasion, the DGMM Steering Committee would like to organize the 30-min brainstorming session on Wednesday 26th October to get feedback from the participants with the aim of better organizing a series of DGMM conferences in the future.

DGMM brainstorming session

What do you think about this fusion-style conference?

Do you think it is successful?

What works well and what does not?

What could be improved and how?

If we keep the DGMM conferences, what interval between two consecutive conferences do you prefer? Currently, the interval is set at 18 months.
Peripherical events, such as tutorials and supplementary posters (without publication), were proposed in DGMM 2022 in order to promote communications and sharing knowledge in the community (particularly for young people). If you have any other ideas in this context, please suggest them.
In order to attract people from other communities, what can we do?
Are there potential and ongoing (large-scale) projects and fundings in the community? How can we increase such projects in future?
So far SC members were nominated. Do you want to change this nomination system when SC members are renewed (for example, candidature+election)?
Please feel free to make any other comments and suggestions.
